The following information is intended to both enlighten and enrage you. It involves the TILMA Ageeement (an agreement surrounded in secrecy and drafted by corporations and the BC and Alberta governments.) No input was sought with any interest groups other than corporations, and most glaringly omitted, were citizens. These governments have relied on a report by the Conference Board of Canada which is so flawed in logic, narrow in scope and completely slanted in favour of corporations it’s laughable (but it’s no joke.)

If you want to see what kind of impact the TILMA Agreement will have on British Columbians take a look at these articles on Measure 37, a seemingly innocous land use law passed in Oregon in November, 2004, and that opened the government (therefore its citizens) up to more than $6 billion in law suits in essence because the law is being abused by private interests.
