The SPP Agreement was put together by the ‘giants’ of industry and the governments of Canada, the U.S. and Mexico. These giants do not have allegiance to any country, rather they pay their allegiance to money and how to get more of it. With money comes power, and excessive arrogance. They destroy ecosystems, water bodies, pollute the air, destroy forests and, make the rich richer and the poor poorer. And when they’re done, they move on. That is their pathology.

Governments, on the other hand, are elected by their citizens and have an absolute moral and fiduciary responsibility to do what’s in the best interests of those citizens above all else. Why then, have we not been informed regarding the SPP when this agreement has such far-reaching consequences for the citizens of Canada? Like TILMA, there has been no debate on the SPP. And again, like TILMA, citizens have been completely shut out of the process. Why all the secrecy? There are plenty of reasons, not the least of which is that this agreement will forever change our independence as a sovereign nation. Read more ...
